In 2001, after 25 years of experience collected in consumer electronics, satellite reception and mobile phone telecommunications, we decided to step into a new and interesting world: GPS Location and Tracking.
We did it, starting on a very particular field: Offroad Rally Motorsport.
Personally involved for years in Rallies and Desert races, some members of our team had the great idea of introducing the latest GPS technologies in MotorSports. At the beginning the main purpose was to increase the safety level of the competitors, but soon we realized that many more would have been the advantages.
Within a short time our sport division has became official GPS services supplier for FIA and FIM in the major offroad motorsport events in Italy, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Rumania, Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrein, England, Oman.
Beside Motorsport Sporttraxx has also been involved in a wide range of disciplines, from Orienteering to Horse Endurance, from Nautical to Flying sports.
Being in charge with the safety of the competitors, overviewing the respect of the imposed tracks and the logistics of the races, allowed us to collect a great and unusual experience in tracking fast moving vehicles, at very high frequencies of incoming data, in hostile environments like the deserts and on sea.
Using special telecommunication services over satellite, as Inmarsat D+, beside more conventional systems like GSM/GPRS and Radio Transmissions, we always keep our competitors (vehicles, boats or humans) under safe and efficient control.
At any Latitude, at any Longitude, at any time, speed and height!
All this great capital of knowledge has been now carried over into the civil tracking, location and surveillance services of WORLDTRAXX.

Our software applications and the drivers for our technologies are developed entirely inside our company.
Also many of the hardware units we use, are projected, tested and realized inside our company.
Technologies like GSM/GPRS units and Inmarsat D+ Transcievers are provided us by the most serious and experienced international manufacturesrs.
Thanks to the cooperation with Touratech from Germany, we can work on any kind of carthography: military or civil raster maps, vector maps, satellite images. To the most incredible detail.
All this allows us to offer real tailor made solutions for each need.
