Recorded Tracking
Also called Passive GPS Tracking . The continuos recording, on-board or on-man, of GPS based data.
In open space area, each moving vehicle, boat or person, is carrying a small tracking devices that is saving in its internal logger, informations as
Latitude,Longitude,Height over sea level,Time and Date,Speed,Direction.
Other data like Waypoint marking, GPIO status, Alarms, Satellite's visibility and their signal levels can also be stored, depending on the hardware features.
The logger parameters and filters can easily be setup via software, according to the needs of each customer.
The collected data are then downloaded, wireless or via cable, at the desired intervals. Every evaluation can be done by mapping services ( as Google earth or Maps) and softwares, or through spreadsheet based softwares.
The accuracy of the data is calculated in meters and in parts of seconds.

Transmitted Live tracking
Transmitting tools can vary depending on the environment, the requested update frequency, the budget. They are Radio, GSM/GPRS or Satellite transmissions.
Live tracking performs also logging feature as most of the remote units are also storing devices and/or the users computer can record the incoming data. The logging frequency in the remote units can be much higher than the transmitted data.
The received data are managed in local computers or networks. Latest version of GPRS based tracking service is GPSTRAXXER.
